I need help identifying what Honda seat I have. I bought at auction where it was listed for a CL360 and it is not. I thought it may be a 1974 CL450 seat but the hinges do not match up. A 1974 CL450 seat number is 458 and the CB450 is 457 and this seat is marked 3117 and 456.
Help

Could this be a CL350 1972-73? Looks similar. Need to know for sure and your help is appreciated.
Thanks,

The pictures say CL450 because that is what I thought it was, IT IS NOT. After investigation and some help I think it is a 1972-73 CL350, but need to know for sure.
Thanks,

Ok I'm no pro. It's just my hobby, but to me it looks like a cl 350 seat with a nice aftermatket cover.
The chrome snap type rivits at the bottom say cl, but I can't read your ruler for diamensions.
My pics are from a 1972 cb350 K4. The length is 24". The length from the center of the hinge to center of the hinge is 8 3/8". It's 11 inches from the widest point. From the center of the rear hinge pin, to the seat latch post is 9".
Sorry that's all the help I can give you. I don't know what the 450 seat is supposed to look like. 80% sure the cL will have the same diamensions as mine. Your's looks alot like the CL seats I've seen, but nicer.

| If it is off of a 350, I'd need a closer picture of the latch. It appears as if it is either a K3 or K4. K4 had keyed latches while the K3 was a lever you pushed to pop the latch.

schoony2's seat latch is on the side and looks a lot like my cb latch. That would make it a later model CL 350(correct?)
I think his ruler show 25", that would be an inch longer than my cb350 k4 seat. (don't know about that?)
Still one of the nicer seats I've seen

| You can rule out a 73 CL350. It would have the number 456 on it. That's what mine is.

| Just did some research about the seat. The "458" is from a 1974 CL450K6 seat. Found it on servicehonda.com. Hope this helps.

I see you're in Indiana. Did you pick up that seat at the Hawk auction? If so, maybe they gave you the wrong lot#. Some guy with a '73 CL350 may be looking at your 360 seat right now.

Yes, it came from the Hawk Auction. It does look like their picture so I believe it is the seat I bid on. It was just not a CL360. The fellow that bought bought it from me decided to keep it and see if he can trade it off for a CL450 in the future. Nice seat, just needs a nice CL350 to sit on.
Thanks
