Back in the old country - Minnesota, I'd generally get a few rides in on the new snow. Massive fun to pull block long power slides on the old C110 Honda. Had a 3 or 4 mile ride once at Zero or just below. I thought my face was going to fall off.

In Bemidji, they used to race on the lake on a round track using spiked tyres. It was any degrees below zero when they did that.

Here in Oz, it's a year round deal. doesn't get that cold, most places.

I just got a neoprean face mask works great in the cold weather.
I can't bring my self to put my bike up for the winter.
I do need to do some work on it but put it up for the full winter no way.
I do avoid snow with it, so I may not get to ride every week but that I can live with.

Never. In fact I went for a three hour ride just yesterday, it was nice, not too cool but now so warm that leather is to hot.

archangel,
What is a neoprean face mask? I have never heard of one.

I ride all year, although I will take the bus if it is pouring down rain or if there is ice/snow on the road. Wish I had studded tires...

For you cold weather riders, how do you keep condensation off you shield? I use a defogging spray, but now I get "rain" in my helmet. Keeping the vents open all the way helps, but that is not an option when the weather gets below freezing.

Thanks,
Ian
