I wouldn't cry too much Res - rumor has it you're getting the Wheels Through Time museum. Wanna trade? BTW, you get our winter-shortened riding season thrown in also! Very Happy

Suzi, the organizer and President of the International
Norton Owners Association, spoke with us and said the
show is one hour shorter this year, (12 noon - 4 pm),
because they felt is was a bit too long last year.

The motorcycle show is hosted by the International
Norton Owners Association. Other invited clubs include,
Norton, Triumph, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, BMW, Honda, Scooters,
Motor Maid, Antique Motorcycle Club of America and
many more.

Any questions call 517-851-7437.

Well that was totally fun...it was a beautiful day and the square and streets were filled with great bikes...and the chili dogs at church was delicious (I had 3 of them!).

Hope to go back every year!

Hi RudyF6 -

See that you like CBX's too!

After looking at rows and rows of 50cc - 125cc bikes, a CBX
really stands out with those six cylinders, six carbs and that
Glory Red color is just outstanding!

Have you seen the issue of the VJMC magazine with the beautiful
1980 Glory Red CBX on the cover?

http://vjmc.org/magazine/200806.pdf

There is a really nice picture of the bike, in the centerfold, and it belongs
to a VJMC Board Member, Roger Smith, who is from Michigan too.

Read that the same bike won the highest award at the 2008 Gilmore
Museum contest over Vincents, Indians, Harleys, etc.

That WAS a great show wasn't it. But, the RED CBX was mine. Randy's(rudy f6) '81 is gray as is JR's naked 81. JR's bro and friend had the cx turbo and 82(altair white) CBX. Holly MI is next Very Happy

Hi all, the Holly Michigan Rally in Battle Alley is October 5th from 9:30am to 4pm. It's in downtown Holly. Look for the VJMC at the corner with the green ez up. Stop by and say Hi if you get a chance.

Ride on, Andy

Riderfour - pictures DO NOT do that bike justice. I was at Gilmore where it won "People's Choice" award. That show in 2007 is where I fell in love with a 1981 CBX, then ended up owning one a month later!

Your right!

What is amazing to me, Roger Smith won this years Spectators Choice at
Gilmore, with his CBX . And he won the same award last year, with his
Suzuki X-6. Both times there were Vincents, Indians, Triumphs, BMW's,
BSA's, etc he was competing with.

I read in the magazine that in 2007 it was the first time a Japanese bike ever
won Gilmore's Spectators Choice.

I believe he lives in Michigan like you and is a Board member with the VJMC.
Maybe he is close enough for you to visit?

Enjoy those six cylinders!

Sherry,

Were you at the meet in Argyle a few weeks ago? I think I met you and your husband there. Nice people you are, if it's you.

Sorry I missed it. Two days before, I was cleaning some stuff up in the garage and somehow managed to drop an acetone soaked rag on the top of the gas tank of the RC replica. Not real extensive damage, only a small area that rapidly turned into bare fiberglass. No time to get it touched up before the show. Oh well, stupid is as stupid does!!
