I'm starting this thread early in order to put all my ducks in a row.

I was thinking the week end of th 18th-21st of April, (Friday-Monday) due to federal taxes due the weekend before this one.

I am going to set up rooms again at the Fairfield Inn in Flagstaff, AZ. I-40 and I-15 come together here. I can get a group rate if enough people are there.

The ride is not real twisty, but what great sites to see, if you are planing on coming to AZ for a nice ride, please post so I can guage on how many rooms I need to resurve.

Last year the temps were in the mid 70's, sunny, not a lot of traffic.

There is a lot of twisty roads in the area also, but the canyon ride will take all day, so that leaves one full day to explore some of the twisty roads in the area.

Lets see how many vintage bikes we can get together for this one.

And you are going to be there at the track? Sweet.
I will be watching on TV somewhere while relaxing after a ride with my friends at the Grand Canyon

Just a heads up for everyone going on this ride, we will be riding between 5000'to 7500' above sea level, bringing a extra set of spark plugs would be a good idea, unless you are jetted for that high up

I have been thinking about leaving my "R"eplica at home for this ride and bringing my CBX. 6 extra spark plugs make a lot of weight to carry around in my pocket.

Yes, I have a route, from Flagstaff, we will go North on US-89 to SR-64( at this point you will be riding along the South rim of the Canyon) (gas stop) go West on US-64 and enter the Canyon park on the East side ($17.00 per bike, $25.00 per car), ride to the visitors center (stop for lunch), go South on SR-64, exit the park (gas stop just outside the park) go South on SR-64 untill we hit I-40 take it east back to Flagstaff. The ride is about 200 miles total.

We will be stopping at lots of turn outs for pics, I'm going to try and mount a Video Camera to my bike also, Does anyone want to drive a pick up so we have a chase truck just in case?

Laurie will be driving the Tacoma as the chase truck, my toolbox will be in the back.
I will have at least two spare rebuilt rotors with me just in case anyone's charging system wants to go the mile straight down the Canyon.
