This is in the shade.

I went out to my garage for about a minute and had to come back in to the AC, it is stifling out there in the garage and I still need to Hondabond my case halves and torque down the heavy duty APE stud kit.

Saturday in Temecula Valley was scorching. Sunday too. So was Monday. And this morning... Well, you get the picture. I do think it's cooler today than yesterday though. I think it was up to around 120 in places on Saturday and I was out riding in it. It felt like sticking your face in a furnace.

If you want to talk hot, we can talk about Kuwait... Note I didn't say Iraq. That's because every place I have been to in Iraq is actually cooler that it was in Kuwait. Go figure.

The heat wave hasn’t missed us down in San Diego either. I think it just killed my new paint job. I just shot a blue pearl over a black base on Saturday and found this today. Apparently it got so hot out there that the finish actually bubbled up.

This really sucks because all it needed was a final wet sanding and the clear coat. Hmm

Looks like outgassing to me. You might be pleasantly surprised to find out that it still just needs some wet sanding and a final coat of clear. All you can do is try. If wet sanding was al that was left to do anyway, you can't make it any worse by staying your course.

No, I can not imagine how miserable she was because I have never nor will I ever be pregnant. Razz
More power to your woman for putting up with another pregnancy & childbirth for you Eric, you are a lucky man. Wink

I was out in the garage for 2 hours this morning and had to take apart the top end again because my cam chain jammed up in the bottom of the motor and the crank would not rotate. She is apart now and I will go out and work on her again in the morning. It is about 90Âș outside and 100Âș in the garage now so I am just kickin it.
I registered a bike in my name for the 1st time in my 45 years today and it felt good. Very Happy

Sorry to hear about the cam chain. I've been having some issues myself on the GSXR 7/11 I've been building and pretty much spent all day on in spite of the heat. Most of my problems have been exhaust issues because I was trying to make the wrong thing work simply because I had it and was too cheap to go out and buy the right one. But now I have one that works good enough for the time being and it's on to the final details - new gaskets, valve adjustment, and checking the fasteners to make sure they are tight (sometimes I miss one or two Confused ), and then I should be ready to fire it up. Right now I have it in old school streetfighter trim, but I have a single CB style headlight to put on it, and a different guage setup to go with the new headlight and that should clean it up some. Eventually I'll finish the bodywork and put it on, but right now, I just need to satisfy my need for a GSXR - which will be the first since the last one was stolen last year.

Here's a few shots of it. I know it's not your cup o tea, but this thing was a box of miscellaneous parts just before MotoGP.

That bike is looking good for something that was just thrown together.
I like how it looks without the big fairing in front, you are going to keep her like that or finish installing the stock parts?

I need the practice with crank case splitting and will time myself to see how long it takes to get this issue figured out. Wink
