| I think you do have to set the float lower to shut off the flow of gas sooner. Remember eveything is upside down in there. Nice bike, have fun. |

| Do the easy stuff ( oil change, filters, plugs- be careful you don't want to strip the head, battery ) and if you still have problems do the carbs. Don't guess on things you're not sure of. Good luck. |

| It sounds like you've tried everything already but don't give up I bet you get it. Keep up with the penetrating oil and it should soften the corrosion. Those are cool bikes. Good luck. |
