Looks pretty rough. I'll follow to see how this all pans out. Probably still has alot of good parts though.
My 72 CB350 had the shifter with linkage, so I'm guessing the CL has the shorter one. |

You can test it. I just did mine. I figured out which wire was the neg, and which was the pos, and hooked it up to a battery. Lighted up and knew it was good Did you check the wire connection ... |
